While charging, the power will release heat to the device, the device also needs to release the heat, so the device gets hot (especially the bottom of the device) it is perfectly normal.
What’s more, if you charge the device on wall power with a wall adaptor, please make sure that the wall adaptor output is 5V, 1A. We don’t recommend using phone adaptors (5V, 2A) to charge the device.
